About the Event
This is a days basic skills course where you acquire some cbasic skills and learn about a sewing machine.
If you have never used a machine before or it has been a long time since you used one this is the course for you. We will teach you the basics of a sewing machine and sewing techniques and build your confidence to try other projects. We have machines and tools for you to use and some materials are included within this.
We will take you through the basics:
· threading up a machine, winding a bobbin
· some of the different stitches that you can use with a machine
· troubleshooting- changing a needle
Within the course you will make:
· A pin cushion
· A bag to put your projects in
